Marstrom 32 (M-32) Finds a Home in US

In what is hoped to be the first of many sailing centers in the US, the M-32 Catamaran will take roots in Newport RI starting in the Spring of 2013. Volvo Ocean Race superstar Ken Read has lead an initial group of 5 owners purchasing M-32's. Catamaran sailing looks to be here to stay, on the heels of the phenomenal success of the America's Cup World Series event held in Newport last summer.

Act 8, Rio Wrap Up...

Nine world class teams were going full on into the final of the Extreme Sailing Series in Rio, including Team Brasil skippered by world class sailor Torben Grael. After some fanstastic speed racing the winner of act 8 and as well the total Champion of the complete Extreme Sailing Series 2012 is The Wave, Muscat, skipperd by Leigh McMillan, our best congratulations to Leigh and his great team on The Wave, Muscat.  French victory in Nice

Full action racing on the Marstrom built X-40 cats in fantastic conditions with a great team support from an estimated 27 000 strong local crowd on the Promenade des Anglais during the three days racing Nice. Cardiff delivered extreme excitement on the Marstrom built X40 cats

What a stunning racing watched by overall 35 000 spectators with five teams going into the final with possibility to win, after 32 races the closest leaderboard this year! A real statement how tough the compettition is in this  Extreme Sailing Series. Our Best congratulation to Morgan Larson and the team on Oman Air catchng the second place on the final race which was enough for them to secure the overall win of Act 5 of the Extreme Sailing Series in Cardiff.

Tjörn Runt, the major regatta on the Swedish west coast

We were having a great time following the race from the BERG Propulsion rib.

In the multihull fleet two M32’s were lining up on the starting line. One with the stars of the STAR and Olympic gold medalists Fredrik Lööf, Max Salminen along with coach Mark Ivey and navigator Mikael Björndal. On the other M32 Mattias Rahm former world champion in Europe dingy, 470 Olympic sailor with Americas Cup experience along with multihull experts Sven-Bertil “Berra” Johansson, Tomas “Tummen” Persson and navigator Daniel Björndal.

Porto delivered the "best ever" Extreme Sailing Series racing

Amazing sail racing and spectators success in Porto, estimated 38 000 spectators on the final day could watch the thrilling stadium racing excelled by British Olympian Leigh McMillan and his team on The Wave Muscat leading to their third consecutive Act win, our best congratulations to another great win from this team! All the fleet on the rock solid Extreme 40 cats built by Marstrom.
