The super fast event boat Extreme 40 (X40), another all carbon product, was launched in 2005. We have built the complete boat since boat number five. The first series consisted of five boats and had beams and foils from Heol Composite in France. The first five boats were raced in the ports where the Volvo Ocean Race had stopovers. The model has become a One Design Class sailing the iShares Cup. Four more boats were built in 2007 and until the season 2009 nineteen boats have been completed and delivered
The competitors in the Extreme Sailing Series Asia had to utilise all of their experience on Day Three in Singapore as they were severely tested by the elements once more. The Red Bull Extreme Sailing Team managed to hold onto second place in the Singapore standings after overcoming wind that peaked at 12 knots, an intense 15 minute rainstorm and finally they were left almost motionless, as the wind dropped to just 1.2 knots.
