Marstrom Composite - History
The company is based on a passion for sailing, a genuine interest in advanced technology and a longing to overcome limitations.

We work with extreme products and the world is our market. The company was founded in 1983 by olympic sailor Göran Marström and Per Wärn with the aim of creating a boat which was better, stronger and faster than any of the competitor's. Today, our extensively refined Olympic class Tornado catamaran has a hundred per cent of the World market. The Tornado and the catamaran discipline is however thrown out of the Olympics games 2012. This is according to us a huge misstake by the ISAF. When the Tornado European Championship was held in Västervik in 2005, 75 boats took part from 22 countries. All of the boats were made by Marstrom Composite AB

Our business has been successively expanded into three stable areas; Boats, Spars, and Industry. Carbon fibre is the common denominator; an extremely light and strong material with virtually unlimited potential. Pioneering work extending over more than 25 years of continuous development and experimentation has lead to our unique experience and knowledge about choice of materials and production engineering. People often tell us "It`s the best I've ever had". This encourages us to continue to develop new efficient products and production methodes. We are keen on accepting new challenges, where often the only limit is our own imagination.
