Porto delivered the "best ever" Extreme Sailing Series racing
Amazing sail racing and spectators success in Porto, estimated 38 000 spectators on the final day could watch the thrilling stadium racing excelled by British Olympian Leigh McMillan and his team on The Wave Muscat leading to their third consecutive Act win, our best congratulations to another great win from this team! Porto saved the best for last for the eight Extreme 40s, with blue skies, and a building sea breeze funneling down the River that ended the day at 20 knots or more in the gusts. Hull flying, bow diving, very close crosses – every kind of sailing action one could imagine was witnessed by a crowd that burst in to spontaneous applause as the pro-teams guided their missiles past at sometimes less than five metres.
