The competitors in the Extreme Sailing Series Asia had to utilise all of their experience on Day Three in Singapore as they were severely tested by the elements once more. The Red Bull Extreme Sailing Team managed to hold onto second place in the Singapore standings after overcoming wind that peaked at 12 knots, an intense 15 minute rainstorm and finally they were left almost motionless, as the wind dropped to just 1.2 knots.

Roman Hagara’s Red Bull team were joined by Singapore A1GP driver Hafiz Koh as the fifth man guest and the 22-year-old clearly enjoyed the experience. "That was totally amazing. I'm going to change from motorsports to sailing!" he joked.

Racing alongside Koh was David Vera, who was racing in his first multihull event and he too had a great time with the team.

"It is the first time I've sailed these boats and it was funny – very funny,” Vera said. “Each day I enjoy it more because I'm learning more each day.
